A municipality of >50,000 residents had hired a new City Manager who had concerns over the cyber security spending and efficacy within the jurisdiction.
ROLE OF MAX2:
With the recent retirement and replacement of the city's technology leadership Max² was engaged to review current risks to continued delivery of City Services and assist as the fractional CISO reporting to the head of technology and City Manager

Multiple risk assessments were completed over the course of 3 years working as the virtual CISO.
Policies and Procedures were developed and implemented city wide touching multiple departments.
Assistance in staff transition through retirement and other departures ensured continuity of cyber programs.
OUTCOME:
Several State and Insurance compliance audits were passed with minimal findings.
Integrated reporting for cyber programs created transparency for municipal leadership.
New Policies and Procedures were implemented across city services with integration into Police and Education who operated separate from the municipal organization.
